After hearing an old childhood tale from his mother, Yukito Kunisaki embarks on a quest to find the Winged Maiden, who was tied to the sky centuries ago. Yukito finds himself in a small town where he did not intend to spend much time as he performs his puppet show in an attempt to make some money. However, things take a dramatic change when he meets Misuzu, an odd girl who invites him to stay with her.
