Prince Arslan and his company continue their march toward Ecbatana in their mission to seize the city. However, when the prince learns that the neighboring Kingdom of Turan is attacking the Parsian stronghold of Peshawar Citadel, he is compelled to retreat in order to defend the castle. In the midst of repelling the invading soldiers, the Parsian army is surprised by a guest. As Arslan returns to Peshawar, Prince Hermes takes a break from his fight with his cousin to go for the famous sword Rukhnabad, which would give him the power to rule and reclaim what he believes is rightfully his. The blade is stolen by the Temple Knights of Lusitania when the cloaked figure unearths the forgotten artifact.
