Attack on Titan (, Shingeki no Kyojin) is a 2015 Japanese post-apocalyptic action film directed by Shinji Higuchi and based on the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama. After their hometown is invaded by a Colossal Titan, Eren Yeager and his boyhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert join the Survey Corps, a military corporation dedicated to fighting huge humanoids known as the Titans. The film is divided into two parts, the first of which was released in Japan on August 1, 2015, and the second on August 1, 2016.
