An unpleasant tension arises between predators and herbivores in a civilized civilization of anthropomorphic animals. This mutual animosity reaches a boiling point at Cherryton Academy after a predation incident kills Tem, an alpaca in the school's theater club. Tem's companion Legoshi, a grey wolf in the stage crew, has lived his entire existence as a target of dread and suspicion. In the immediate aftermath of the catastrophe, he continues to disguise his frightening features, much to the chagrin of Louis, a red deer and the drama club's dictatorial star actor.
