Dunbalf, a summoner mage with a dignified veteran's figure and a long white beard, was one of the strongest player characters in the virtual reality online multiplayer roleplaying game Ark Earth Online, even being lauded as a one-man army. They created the mage player Kingdom of Alcait with the "Nine Wise Mages" and King Solomon. But then Dunbalf and the other Nine Wise Mages vanish, leaving no trace behind. Dunbalf had purchased a cosmetic kit and tinkered with his character in an attempt to spend his expired credits; unfortunately, he had mistakenly fallen asleep during the customizing process. Dunbalf awakens to find not only that the environment of Ark Earth Online has gotten more lifelike, but also that he has transformed.
