Traveling trader Kraft Lawrence and wolf deity Holo dine with Norah Arendt, a young shepherdess who assisted them in smuggling gold. Holo's distaste of Norah—due to the latter's occupation as well as her friendship with Lawrence—prevents her from enjoying her lunch. Lawrence looks after Holo when she becomes unwell from weariness, since he is concerned about the health of his beloved friend. Holo reminisces about their travels together as she regains her strength.
